Hi Guys
What do you think of oxy fit can it be used to transport koi? as I am finding it hard to get oxygen on the island and I would only use it once or twice.

You will probably have to set up an account but if not i would not worry a fish will be OK for 4hrs easily just make sure you have good strong bags and double or triple bag them. Have a good sturdy box for the bags to go in and make sure its a nice well oxygenated bag which you could place in the box and inflate with an air pump once fish is in the bag and box before putting the bands on.
Remember to have enough water to cover the fish and gills but not so much there is no room for any air.
Fish come all the way from Japan and can be in the bags for 35-40hrs so a few hours up the road should be OK

Hi Gazza
Lost a koi and it was only in the bag 5 hrs from Essex but I am sure they must put a little something in the water to slow them down when shiping them to the uk like the ammonia strips well that's what I heard.

sorry to hear you lost a fish shevy,
I moved to a house and inherited a pond 9 years ago and got involved in this hobby, When I removed 180 non koi fish and transported them 30 miles away, it was in 2 x 50 gallon square plastic containers 1/2 full & covered with ply , with air stones on via tyre inflater (ciggie lighter) in the back of my van with my fingers double crossed. made it safe n sound with no losses. sometimes your lucky I guess.
but now I'm a little more enlightened bags n boxes is what I'll be using.
