yes i am giving them abit of food but not much at all, i did stop for about a month when water dropped right down to 4.5c but now its back upto 9.8c and still going up. they are swimming about all the time again now and soon as you go near the pond asking for food lol. dont say about a window because my mate (psp) is building his new pond with a window in and it makes me think mmmmm yes next time or when and if i do a rebuild lol.

well im at 9.5 degrees today and there up lookin for some grub, gave em a handfull of wheatgerm pellets and they'v devoured that. i noticed my chag was eating sturgeon pellets last week so i new they were getting ready. and as for the window lol i saw one in my mates just as i got above ground level so i went for one too, nothing too big, 1000mm x 500mm in a homemade stainless frame, must admit my cheeks where nipping when i filled it, but 5 months down the line and all is good.were did you get the jap simbols from pal? they look great!

i won the jap symbols in a compitetion in a koi mag 6 years ago and never got rid of them and when we was building this and knew we was going to render and paint the sides so we said about putting these in the front and side and thats what happened and they look good i think. i have two sturgen in my pond and i must admit i get abit worried as when feeding them the koi always get the food as well and i know that the protien ammount is high so i try not to put to much in.
