More than anything - I just hope that this gives the new show chairman, time to regroup along with the rest of the bkks, and that we will see another bkks national. I would hate to think that the first one i was ever able to attend in 2010 - was actually the last one!!?!?
yes this is a shame thou i believe with alittle team work members of forums my own this one and a number of others it could still happen.
The main reasons behind the cancellation
1. man power
2 man power
3. dealers
4 man power
but yet have any members or chairpersons contacted forums to ask for help ?
what are your thoughts would you help ????
sorry but i think i have to agree what a load of b******ks
i spent a enjoyable day at a very reputable dealers the other day who normally does the national and he said he hadnt been asked or even contacted.
as for man power have the clubs and forums been asked? er i think not...
this to me seems like it was given up on before it got started.
even if they felt they couldnt do the whole lot of it why not speak to clubs like the Essex and combine a essex show with the national etc.
there you have a club who it is no secret has been struggling to stay afloat. but each year they put a show on with limited finance and limited people to put it up. but they still do it and on a showground that could hold a show four times the size of the national.
just seems a bit of a cop out.

.
That's because the committee member who's job it was to contact dealers and sponsors had resigned.
Yes they did have time to rally a work force but with the majority of key positions not filled to organise :-
Dealers, Sponsorship, Craft Stands, Public Relations, Electrics, Site Management, Show Build up/down, Dinner Dance, Prizes, Lecture Theatre, Entertainment, Catering, Hospitality Etc.
Why would they need a labour force with no show to put on ?
Finding an excuse why we don't volunteer for committee positions is as easy as criticising those that do.
I don't do Koi politics so must be missing something pretty basic.
Why doesn't the BKKS accept that a stand alone National isn't viable and explore whether one of the existing Section shows could be assisted and expanded and take on the title of National show.
Dave I believe a BKKS National show is viable. The pool of experience and expertise the BKKS has via it's section members must be greater than any one section. Plus it probably has far more funds than any section.
If there were as many volunteers prepared to stand and rally the troops as there are knockers it would be walk in the park.
I have worked at the National for a few years. Any one else on here want to stand up and be counted ?
