Default Will this work?

Hi All
I will be setting up my bakki in the summer and have some questions. Firstly, I have 2 big dry pumps to link up to the Bakki. How should I draw the water from the pond with out drawing in the small koi? Secondly, what do you think of the bottom chamber being K1 with jap matting over the top and then what do you think I should in the two others?

All idea's welcome. If you are using something diffrent in your bakki let us all know. I would like to see if anybody is using anything unusual.

Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year.

Shevy

i really dont know if this would work, think you would need ogawa only to come in on this one as im sure he has tried this before. will be interesting to see what others have to say on K1 in a bakki shower as i really dont know mate.

Hi Guys,

OK first of and please don't think i am being funny but a Bakki Shower is a shower using Bacteria House Media. The reason i have posted this is because there has been a lot lately hearing how good they are and getting sold what they say is a Bakki Shower for lots of money as basically its not so newbies be careful

What size pumps are you using Shevy ?

Depending on what size pumps you use will depend on the shower media i would think as some media can not handle fast flow.

The next thing you need to think about is how clean will the water be as again this will have a bearing on the media,if you was to have matting on the top section and you had dirty water then you could end up with it clogging up fairly quickly.

There are a few media out there for use in showers and i think it depends on what you want to do and of course your budget.

Happy Christmas to you as well young man

Dave

Think Gaz has covered it well;

Is the water going over the shower going to be pre filtered and by what?

What you don’t want from any media you use in a shower is a place where muck can gather, real recipe for long term problems.
