yes you need to slowit down as before you know it your be getting ph way to low and a ph crash. davej or gaz will help you more on this. you will need to T off before it goes into the ro unit membraine and mix the water so you have about tds of 100 coming out. but wait till one of those two come on and help mate. mark

I doubt the pH would have shifted that quickly in such a short space of time.
More likely the pH test was a bit out. I would be surprised if it had moved that much.
Its the KH you should really be looking at, what are the comparative readings and how much water had gone in?
You dont want to move the pH too quickly, in a small tank you could mix say 75% incoming RO with 25% supply as a start, that would bring things down in a more controlled way.

Thanks Dave the reason might be I did a water change as I changed to hikari gold to try and get the colour a bit better as there in the garage and it made the water go red so going to go back to Hikari staple but back to the RO I don't want to do it to quick I am going to try and get the ph down to about 7.5 as for the KH it might be a silly question but do you count every drop so the first drop when the water go's blue count as well if so mine is 10 drops

What KH test kit are you using? Reason I ask is that Nutrafin is 10ppm per drop most others 18ppm.
When your Kh gets lower you can (if you feel the need) increase the accuracy by doubling the sample size in the tube, the Nutrafin would then be 5ppm a drop and most others 9ppm.
Count all drops, the actual will be between total drops and total drops -1.
I wouldn't worry about colour food on young koi, given decent conditions quality beni will thicken with age.
