Hi all just purchased a plastic barrel to be converted into a static K1 filter what would you suggest as a treatment for sterilising the barrel, potassium permanganate? (I also have some oxalic acid left over from cleaning my decking).
How long to treat and if PP do you need to neutralise it or just rinse out and away you go

According to the seller just food imports ,what food i dont know.

I'd be inclined to put in a gramme of PP and leave it in for a few days.it should remain pink if it doesn't then empty out and repeat.

neutralise with a splash of hydrogen peroxide - dont tip active water with PP on the lawn
