Reputation Level: | Elecro heater problem? Hi, I have just installed a 3kw elecro evo 900 heater. I have tried to get the set point to 14c but the top little dot will not stay on. The water temp is 11c so the heat on light should be constantly on right? But it just comes on for maybe 10 seconds every minute. Is this normal?
Thanks

Reputation Level: | It's digital I timed it tonight and it heats for 37 seconds and goes to standby for 1 min 37 seconds. Is this normal working procedure or should it heat constantly until the set temperature is reached? It is slowly increasing the temp, only had it running for a day and it's gone up 1c. |

James | Hi Jm
I think the problem might be the flow you need to have a good flow through heater or the heater will switch off.

Reputation Level: | I have it running after my fish mate 45000 pressurised filter which is fed by a superfish 12000 at a head of 2 meters. I thought the flow would be more than enough? |

Reputation Level: | Could having too much flow be a problem? It says max 7000. I think I will just call them tomorrow |

Reputation Level: | It's not the flow because I just went outside and reduced the by closing the inline valve quite a bit and nothing changed, heats for 37 seconds then standby for nearly 2 minutes! So annoying |
