Default Sieve outlet

Hi Guys & Girls
Hope someone can help me? I have a big sieve and have a problem. I have been using the sieve by pumping from the bottom of the pond with a 12000 pump. To the sieve and stright back to the pond with no problem. But now I have a small 4 bay fillter I want to add into the pond return but now when I connected it up the sieve is filling up and the water is not getting back to the pond as quick. Any Idea's

Shevy

Hi Shevy

What heights are the Sieve and 4 bay in relation to the pond water level?

Got any pics?

Dave

Hi Dave
This is the sieve think I need to make a bigger outlet. the pump is 4' down and the sieve is above the water level as is the small 4 bay and the other end of the pond just trying to use the pump a bit more other than the water going stright back to the pond.

Thanks

Shevy that rabbit

Hiya Shevy

Yes would think that removing the restriction between the sieve and the filter would probably solve things.

You may want to build in an overflow bypass into the sieve that goes straight back to the pond to stop any accidents though?
