Hi Bob,

Well you don't want to try to be putting the ones from the tank out in cold water but how many have you got in the tank and how much room ?

Well there is about 15 that were 2" and there over 9" now in 6 months so was going to try and drop the temp in the tank slowly to match outside 13.4 what do you think.

Hi Shevy,

It can be done but you will have to be on your game as whenever moving koi around anything can happen.

Another thing to think of is if you do have a problem and your pond is at a low temperature it can be hard to treat.

I'm sure there are all ways of looking at this, but in my opinion, you want the temperature to be high enough for them to feed, or just low enough that they go into their winter hibernation state.
At least with an indoor tank you can stop it getting too cold.
