The only way I know of putting a window in a liner pond is by the use of a frame which clamps the liner and glass together

You can do it without a frame if your fiberglassing and have done it several times

You do not need to have brickwork or a lintel over the top of the window is this what your after ?

I've heard of people on here doing it - hopefully someone who has done can reply.
I plan on doing the same in my pond - and will cut away at the blocks surrounding the hole to have a "frame" shape and have the window an inch or two larger than the hole in the blocks. Then use loads of silicone between the liner and the glass. The water pressure should make sure there's a tight seal, and I can't see this leaking. The liner will be "clamped" between the glass and the blocks.

Anyone see a problem with this? I think the main thing to be careful of will be having a smooth straight edge where the glass is pressed up against the blocks. If it's uneven then the pressure on the glass will be as well, and could cause it to shatter.

Folding the liner into the recess without folds or creases wont be easy. Any folds or creases could result in leaks. Keeping the liner in place until the glass is fitted is another problem. I envisage anyone attempting this method getting in a right mess with the mastic. Not a job I would attempt.
