Default HEATER

Hi has anyone got a Elecro heater. a mate i know is getting rid its a 9kw 3 years old anyone got any opinions. thanks in advance

9kw i hope you got deep pockets to run it. what size pond have you got.

700 gall its ok mark ive tapped into supermarket next door ha ha now ive got this up im going to start digging out where bottom pond is will be around 2500 gallons so it should be ok for next winter its for nothing so for what i would have paid for it i can pay the leccy nice warm fish

Hmm..

9kw in 700 galls?

You might need some batter....and some chips!

I was only joking Gaz, I'm sure you're aware you'll need the same sort of protection as you would have for a domestic shower of that size. A separate fuse and trip and heavier cable than the normal ring main stuff.

Hi Doghouse yes hes got all the cable i just bought a new 40amp tripswhich as said the guy is giving this away and when someone offers me something for nowt is good. i know you was joking sorry didnt mean my answer to sound like that but my fish will be nice and hot.

Well guys got my heater in conected up temp was down to 8c got it up to 10 this morning and its hit 12c today fish are swiming about now looking for food will turn it up again tomorrow to 14c then leave it at that for over the winter. what food do you think i shoud feed and how much any ideas would be good.
