Reputation Level: | Nexus 300 - a logistics nightmare Anyone got anyexperience in this area.
I need to get try and get a Nexus 300 transported from Glasgow to me in Essex. It's about about 50kg but 1.4m x 1.35m x 1.1m in size.
DHL quoted me £650 as due to the size it get put under the 400kg category.
:helpsmilie:
I've worked out that 2 day van rental + deisel is only about £300. + 15 hours of my life which I won't get back.
I've also considered the train from London to Glasgow and meet and greet van rental from there. But all the rental places seem to close at 12:00 on Saturday and are not open on Sunday so no good for me as I need to do this on a weekend only.
Any idea's links or suggestions? |

Reputation Level: | Have you tried the dedicated pallet moving companies rather than default couriers??

Reputation Level: | Try APC my local branch (Rayleigh) is run by CJ Farr. They have picked up pallets before for me though not from Scotland at cost of £50 + VAT. Or look on Ebay/Yell for a man with van who operates from the Glasgow area. I had my Nexus bought from Leicestereshire and it cost £130 to ship down. The seller was reluctant to put the Nexus onto a pallet. |
