Got home today to find my Shiro on the pond floor, and lying slightly to one side. I took a scrape, and found nothing. Over the past few days I've noticed he's been a bit pink along the top of his body. He also now seems to have pink streaks along his side. The other thing is he has a white 'something' on both eyes. This might be normal, I just haven't noticed it before. It seems to be on the eyeballs themselves. Also, take a look at the gill covers, it almost looks like scars. The pics aint that great, but hopefully you can see what I mean. Oh yes, and my parameters are good, relatively.
Cheers...Freddy.

What are they and when did you last change some water ?
Hiya Gaz.
Ammonia is between 0 and 0.2, Nitrite is between 0 and 0.25. PH is around 8.0. I trickle change the water pretty much constantly, maybe around 20% a week?
The pink... my best guess would be stress and looking at the extent its very stressed :/. The scarlike could just be thin skin letting skull show through? especially if a young fish.
If I am right and the fish is unhappy, paramaters ok and nothing on scrape then is there any way you could get this fish into a qt tank - prefeably covered and darkish let it have some hiding and warmth?
Caveat.... I am by NO means any kind of expert - these are just my thoughts to let others rule out or suggest a better reason/solution.
Yeah, I thought stress too. Only one problem, I have no QT Funny thing, after I netted him he seems relatively happy again, even feeding. I guess all I can do is sit it out, and hope for the best.
