Default electric sites

hi does anyone know a site i can workout electric useage between a 65watt pump and an 80watt pump to help me workout what size pond to go for , i dont want a huge electric bill for an extra 200gallons lol

0.065 x 24 x 365 = 596.4 Kw/hrs for the smaller pump.

0.08 x 24 x 365 = 700.8 Kw/hrs for the larger pump.

Find out how much you are paying for each unit of electric in pence and times by the above figures to get the cost per annum.
I.e: If your electric costs 11p per unit the annual cost to run each pump would be £65.60 and £77.00.

thanks mate that gives me a rough idea, i pay 24.1 for first 40kwh then 11.3 per kwh for the rest of the month (british gas fixed rate ) the gap isnt as big as i thought it would be

Heating a pool is expensive and will put off a lot of people, but if you work out the cost and then compare it with other things on which you are quite prepared to spend your money, it might not seem so bad.
