Hi Tim,

Not sure about the first two photos, but the last one looks like the dreaded Blanketweed
Horendous stuff, try not to let it get a hold!

No, sorry, just looked at pic again, and it was the reflection in the water that made me think that
If it's white stuff, i'm not too sure as I've seen this too and thought maybe spawning eggs?
Perhaps others could help

Could they be fresh water shrimps or something similar?

not sure if im right but the first two pictures look like blood worm, these will populate in dirty area like filter bay's etc.

Out of curiosity have you changed your food lately? and the last picture looks like koi poo, the type they get pass when they are haveing a good clear out or in the transitions of food types.

But im sure if you trickle feed your pond it will cure and sort out all these problems. as if you read through the various threads on here it's a cure all thing to do.

Thumbs up

if you get any worm like casts then these are snail poo.
as for the other they could be (if living) some kind of larve.

Thank you very much all your replies :-)

It does seem possible midge fly larve as there's a bunch of midges hanging around the filter!!

so if they are harmless then I will leave them be?? will koi eat them?

Thanks again for all your replies :-)

Tim
