Default A New Toy

Hi Guys,

First off thanks Darren great service as always as all arrived here today

Well i have been on about a auto-feeder for the tank and today was the day as Darren sent it out with my food and i have to say it was so easy to install; and set up and very unpressed so far and build quality looks great a sturdy unit

So now the wife doesn't have to go out during the day when i am not here and hopefully i will be able to get some growth on the fish

Looks good Gaz, guess you have to refill it a couple of times a day?

Seriously; what does it hold volume wise?

Hi Dave,

I knew someone was going to ask that and i don't know as i have thrown the box away and didn't way the food in but its bigger than it looks so holds a fair bit.If you look at the picture you can see the food in the sight glass and it hasn't come down yet.

Everything is very well designed and the action for the unit to work is basically done on a screw so it turns round and food drops out and there are so many variation on time and how much you can feed its basically the NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

I have it feeding every hour 16 times a day and as i have only just put it on just for what it calls 1 dose and i will see how i get on but its looking very good.I took this up to 2 dose today and i have just taken it to 3 dose tonight as they got feed and all food was gone in no time and there has been no food floating.

As for setting it up its very easy and i didn't even use the destructions all i did was a quick scan of them and then just got on with setting it up and the unit was installed and set up in no time including opening the food and filling the other auto feeder on the main pond as well it was all done within the hour

So how much in a dose of feed Gaz?

It looks good and I like the multiple feed, allows the little and often approach.

You are clearly taking the Shiro G&S seriously

Nice bit of kit/toy Gazza, think that's the one Mikey boy uses on the 1700g grow on ponds, if so they hold 3kg if I remember right.

That's superb Gazza,

I think this is an excellent addition which will take the worry out of feeding if anyone has to spend a lot of time away from their pool.

But for the less experienced I'd urge a word of caution. It would be quite easy to over-feed the fish, (the Fantasia cartoon of Micky Mouse and The Sorcerer's Apprentice comes to mind, with the buckets of water).
