I want to put a window into my pond but my budget is not looking very healthy, been quoted on a stainless steel window but does anybody know if I used galvanised or aluminium instead would that contaminate the water at all??? Also what thickness of glass should I use????

Do you want to put a pond liner or a fibreglass finish in your pond?
How many gallons is the pond and how big is the window?

Hi Mozzy,

No need for a frame if your glassing the pond, just make a frame with your blockwork, glass thickness would depend on size.

For a rough size of 1mx0.6m you would need 19mm thick laminated, just make sure the glass is clear, some I have seen have a slight green tint to them.
