im John and im 22 me and my family have just started the wonderful and mind boggling hobby of koi keeping. we are moving house within 6-8 weeks and are going to have a pond concrete built in are new garden. at the moment we currently have a 350gallon tempory tank with 5 koi in it.
this has been up and running now for 2 and half weeks and recently we have been having ammonia level problems i have cut down the feeding to one small feed in the morning and thats it for the last 4 days also i did a 10% water change and the levels have not dropped down at all...
can anyone advise what to do?
cheers

Stop the feeding for now and change out the water and clean the filters regularly as this is a new system and you will end up with the readings going up and down and its all part of the system maturing. The bacteria will start to mature in around six weeks and then things will start too settle down.
The best thing is to take it nice and easy and not go mad with the feeding and just test and keep on to of things.
