Reputation Level: | Blanketweed controllers Hi all
I have two Blanketweed controllers one new and one used. Do these really work much at all or are they a waste of time fitting on the pond.
Mark

Reputation Level: | Hi Mark which controller do you mean there are two types. One attachés to filter pipe work and sends electronic pulses through them. The other has electrodes in the water and should be avoided at all cost. It became nicknamed as the koi exterminator due to the copper it put in the water.
I have never used the one that uses electronic pulses (magnetic field) but have read they work for some people and not others. One advantage of them is, if they are fitted before the U.V. they can reduce furring of the quartz tube. |

Reputation Level: | Hi Mark
We have been using the Blagdon one for 2-3 years now and it does work for us does not stop it completly but there has been a marked reduction. As said by others it works for some but not for others, so give it go

Reputation Level: | Hiya Mark.
I've heard pretty much the same, works for some, not for others.
Cheers...Freddy.
