as many of you know on here i look after my daughters school pond and have done for a few years, i haven't been round the school for a couple of weeks and my youngest came home today in a panic saying that the fish are all floating on top of the pond and the children are upset that they have died... we all went round and to my amazement all of the fish that were in there were indeed on the top... SUNBATHING, now i know what your going to say " they will get burnt " but this pond is about 50 ft long 12 ft wide and 4 ft deep, it has reeds, over hanging trees, lillypads, and everything that makes it a natural pond and it looks absolutely stunning, there was fish that must be from spawnings this year, a couple that i recognised from my own pond, some from another forum members pond and they are thriving...im going back tomorrow for a bit of upkeep so (if i remember my camera ) i will get some pics of the pond, i will also try to find some from last year so that you can see how much it has matured over the last 12 months.
