Reputation Level: | Aqua Cetus sieve Is it possible to set up a Aqua Cetus sieve using a skimmer that gravity feeds it? then gravity feeds a pump that goes back to the pond?
obviously if it is gravity fed the sieve is going to have to sit level with the water surface and getting fed from a skimmer im not sure if there would be enough pressure?
Other way I can think of is.... Skimmer to pump to sieve but then I believe the sieve has to sit above pond level and I don't want this unit sitting on my pond.
any other ways to setup it up?
My bottom drain is going to feed a vortex/multichamber unit. So trying to think of other ways to get the best from both? |

Reputation Level: | You can gravity feed from a skimmer to a sieve but you would need to convert the skimmer to 4" pipework for it to be worthwhile. Also dumping the skimmer basket will solve any problems with leaves blocking the skimmer.
I have an eazy pod that is gravity fed with 4" pipe from my skimmer with a 10K sequence returning back to the pond and it has worked fine so far.
