Reputation Level:  | Skimmer Pump Hi guys i hope this is posted in the correct place, i have a 1 1/2 out let on a skimmer and i just wondering what try of pump i can put on it ? my pond is pump feed from a titan 15000 pump, would it be possilbe to use a central heating pump to power the skimmer ? if not what pump would do the job ? thx guys  |

Reputation Level:  | it should be ran 24 hrs a day. this is why i choose the aquamax 5500 very low wattage and reliable too. Things being like they are in the world people need to cut back on eletric being used you dont what a cheap pump that runs at 300watts which will cost the earth when i think the aquamax run at about 70 watt hope this helps |

Reputation Level:  | yeah i totally understand i was under the inpession that it ran only at certain times (my mistake) the skimmer pipe leads out of the pond onto a 1 1/2 solvent weld pipe so im thinking that i would have to put a sequence pump on the link to pump it out, the aquamax wouldnt be able to do this would it ? by the look if it, that pump would have to be submerged at all times ? i will get you some pics of the problem i have.the pipe at the bottom is the skimmer  |

Reputation Level:  | Hi guys looks like i will have to get a sequence pump for this skimmer any cheap ones i can get ? im gonna go to A5 aquatics in hinckley and have a look at what they have your help is apreicated guys  |
