Reputation Level: | Well when it comes to filters you want to go as big as you can and money alows so if your pond is going to be 990g you need a filter that can filter about 2000gallons when it come to koi and with a turn over of about once an hour. So in the end you would have a filter that would do double the amount of water in the pond and a turn over rate of about 1000g an hour. But if you have not started yet look in to a bottom drain and gravity fed filter or you will regret it latter hope this helps
