How deep are you digging down ?
how high will the water be compared to the conservatory brickwork ?
how far away from the conservatory wall ?
Pleased to see the nexus there !!! you'll NEVER regret that !
is the bottom drain going to be aerated ?
my biggest regret is not having aerated bottom drains, I asked for them, but the pond builders said not necessary, not knowing any better at the time I gave in to them.
Alternative Aquatics do a replacement aerated cover £80,
I intend replacing both of mine 1 day, BUT it will be a huge job to re-house all the koi in temp vats whilst the pond is emptied,
then a big question mark is will we be able to thread the air tubes through the 4 inch pipes ? more likely we will have to chisel channels in the base and walls then re-render and fibreglass £ouch !
An aerated drain dramatically increases the suction of the bottom drain, keeping the pond base spotless !!! I would NEVER do a pond without now !!!
Not a clue about how to put pictures on here, or anywhere on pc / internet / e-mails etc etc. I'm thinking of enroling on a course to learn, as the 2 koi I have growing in Japan, I have agreed with the breeder in Japan via the uk dealer / importer to photograph and do reports as to their development in uk water,

so will have to learn, they will be in my pond in spring '09. it was a condition of buying them at a cheaper price !
presently they are inside at 22C in Japan, on 5 feeds per day, looked after by the Japanese breeder, so should be growing nicely !
Remind me again where you live.
Where is your Mrs anyway ? she's gone very quiet ! has she started her kitchen yet ? or has she seen sense and realised the koi pond is more important ???
