Hi All

Looked out at my ponds early this morning and there was a mad spawning frenzy in all of them, has anybody elses started yet? looks like this spell of warm weather has got them going : 8) 8)

you cant mistake it ,the males will chase the females in a mad frenzy ,this cant be mistaken.the water will cloud up slighty and the eggs will be very evident covering everything in the pond.if your lucky you will get tell tale signs when their warming up and this gives you a chance to put in some spawning brushes , this sometimes gears them into spawning.the females are usually a bit battered and very exhausted at this time so keep an eye on them.
