i am pondering the use of japanese clay clay in my filters and was wondering what the benefits are and also how is it best used (in its own bay or under sponge or similar) and also in what order last i assume.

i would recommend to use it once per month not weekly but it is up to you .

what type of clay are you talking about,do you mean the clay additive that put the essential minerals back into the water (powdered stuff) ie Kusuri clay in which case you just mix it up with some pond water and pour evenlly around your pond,ie unless anyone else know different. I presume you could mix it up and pour direct into filters.Its just that the way your descibing doing it you may be thinking of some sort of filter medium,your have to clarify.I appogise in advance if i,ve totaly misunderstood this post .cheers Richard  |

its me that has misunerstood i was under the impression the clay was solid form not powder form(i should have done some more reading).thanks for clearing that up for me , also is it as good as people say it is.
