Default surface skimmer

i have just dug a 2 feet deep collar , ready to fill with concrete, it is 12 inches wide and 2 feet deep, i want a surface skimmer how do i commect this do i have to make a hole through 12 inches of concrete ,

spettro You need to explain your pond build. is it sunk, is it partially raised. Blocks, Liner , fibreglassed. More info needed please.

it is sunk in the ground and will be box lined,

Fitting a surface skimmer to a sunk pond (ground level) can be tricky. You would need a pit to house the pump. I would set the skimmer in position in the excavation complete with pipework coming outside the trench before poring the concrete.
