I ran a nexus on a 3000g and the clarity was fine all be it if you looked hard enough you could see some fines and have seen many big set ups useing nexus with good clarity.

I now use a sieve & bead on the bottom drain with the nexus on the skimmer i believe they are both very good at what they do,

the nexus in my set up is more suited to the skimmer line with the size of pump im useing .

Im not disputing that the sieve bead does give you crystal clear water but I also believe it can be achieved with a nexus ( with a few fines ) if set up correctly
