uv pond lighting Hi all. I am not talking here about filters or sterilisers (which I already have) but about illuminating a pond and possibly using a UV, or blacklight source. As we all know UV/blacklight lighting gives a very interesting effect in discos but I want to consider its use in a pond.
I'm shortly going to build a partially above-ground koi pool incorporating a large 2mx1m glass wall section to give a side view of the fish rather than just looking at them from above. In addition to conventional led lighting I want to know a/ whether uv light gives any fluorescent effect on the fish at night (as it does on our white clothing, teeth and dandruff!) and b/ would there be any likely adverse effect on the fish (as it's perfectly safe for our eyes).
Many thanks, Mark |
