Reputation Level:  | replacing old pond iam taking my small pond out and replacing it with a larger one but my old pond was only 9 ins from the fence i woulld like more room than this is it just a mater of putting some soil back while i make it larger the old pond is about 4 ft deep if anyone could give some ideas thanks carol  |

You couldn't explain what you're trying to do a little more could you ? ( other than to make the pond bigger ). I don't think I'm on my own in not understanding.  |

Reputation Level:  | pond problem hi thanks for reply my old pond has only 9ins of bank left to put rocks or anything else so i thought when i replace the pond make the bank larger poss 2foot so i dint know wether i could just put soil back to build up the bank or will i have buil a wall to suport the bank |

I'd go for building the wall .... then back filliing, it seems like the safest option.
