As breeding in the uk is becoming more popular , whether it be larger scale , or back garden projects , i thought it might be a good idea for forum members to post there breeding sets , results , and follow up pics over a period of time .
so if member's like this idea , lmk , and when your ready , i'l sticky each members thread , so you all get your own bit on the forum to show off your results

At 8 mths it was 32cm its in the main pond now with a few more of the tosai and at a guess i would say its around 34<35cm now but the plan is to bowl them at 12mths for another closer look which will be at the end of November.

Hey Mr P
As you know i had a pretty drastic failure of my Sanke spawn last year but with failure come a little more knowledge .
The best of them would be something that you wouldn’t look twice at mate as my goal here was growth in the first year with the ability to stretch and keep quality in Beni.
This one i kept cause i like weird flowery patterns and everyone keeps telling me it will fail but it keeps growing and the Beni keeps on hanging in there.
Some pics of a few more that might interest you will notice there isn’t any thing much that is show able but i have at least at this point some hope for the next generation where a better culling understanding should make life a little easier on the eye.
As for Miss B I have added an updated pic for ya as she also give at least one parent to look at

Hey John I will post up some progress pics on the week end that is closest to there birthday.
I spend a lot of time culling and the main reason for it is that i just dont have enough room and i have to keep my numbers at a level where they are thriving and not just surviving. To keep fish to sell would really defeat the purpose of the cull in the first place.
I keep my hobby at a level at which my income can support If i was to sell fish to support it IMHO it wouldn’t really be a hobby any more.
