Default Pond No2

Hi folks. At my last home I had a Koi pond of around 2,000 gallons in which I had around 12 fish, all of a pretty good size. Anyway, since my move back in 2007 I'd pretty much discounted having another pond as my garden is rather narrow, being 15ft at it's widest. A few weeks back I had another look at it and decided that I COULD fit one in, my only concern being that it might look a bit cramped. So, yesterday I made a start on what will be a 12ft x 8ft x 5ft(ish) pond, which will hold around 3,000 gallons. As it stands, the plan is to go for a sieve/bead filter system. I've ordered the initial pipework (bottom drain, skimmer, bends etc) which came to a hefty £420 ! Aint cheap this pond stuff eh ? As you can see, the hole is dug, the depth being around 3ft 6". The pipework should be here tuesday so MAYBE on thursday the concrete can be poured. Oh yeah, must remember that the weather doesn't always play ball. I was quite surprised to see it raining this morning, but thankfully no puddles in the bottom. By all means, if you see me making a mistake, or have any questions, please speak up

Cheers...Freddy.
