blue eyes Extreme Koi Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 15 Reputation Level: blue eyes's Gallery	calling all experts! Hello everyone! I am at the first stages of building my very first koi pond and could do with some advise from you more experienced owners. My pond will hold 1200 gallons and will be 2ft in the ground and 3ft above. I want to build it with concrete blocks and then fit a liner. I have already got a Hozelock EcoPower 10,000 litre filter but am unsure as to the pump I need.Could I use a 4000 litre pump or is a 5000/5500 better? I would have prefered to fibreglass it but it is well out of my budget. I want to install a waterfall feature and airstones for extra oxygen. Please if you can offer any suggestions or advise as to the actual build then please drop me a reply!
