then if interested, you need to contact a registered koi dealer to bid on your behalf,
preferably one who will be physically there in Japan !
Pictures are nice,
BUT..... they don't really show imperfections,
and don't do justice to the all -important body shape !
Body shape is much more important than pattern or size !
To my surprise Deron Simons who has judged in Japan by invitation !
told me that:
" Body shape is equally as important as pattern and size put together !!! "
It was a surprise to me !
it cropped up in discussion of the merits of a koi,
thanks Deron for teaching me that !
