My next door neighbour had an Eagle owl, he didn't have a cat problem
Very impressive, incredibly powerful bird.
I went with him to collect one from a bloke up norf once. The chap had allowed the owl to land on his arm without a glove, it broke his wrist
He also had a Harris hawk and several other birds of prey. The Harris was his favourite though, he never had any problems with it going AWOL unlike some of his other hawks which he often had to track down.
He moved from the area and the cat population has now recovered
Edit. pic two. what's that called when they cover the prey? I forget. Doesn't look like it's ready to hand that one over just yet
