Hi Karl, unfortunatly even with major water changes its not budging. We don't have an over flow in the pond, plus it would negate actually having the heater in the pond also, as the temp would then be too low.
I will just keep trying, everything I can.
yes the amonia is going down, but like you say its because the other bacteria have been affected that the nitrite hasn't,
